5 Healthy Vegan Snacks | Easy Vegan Recipes

If you’re in need of a quick, healthy, yet delicious, vegan snack, this blog post is for you! Some of these are sweet and some are savory, so we have a good mix of things here for any of your cravings. These snacks are also great for right before the gym as most of them are a good source of carbs to help you burn some energy while working out. So buckle up your taste buds because these simple snacks are about to blow your mind.

1. Chocolate Avocado Pudding

For a vegan pudding, look no further. This recipe is simple but takes a bit longer so don’t make it if you’re in a hurry for some chocolatey goodness.

1 Ripe Avocado

2 TBSP Cacao Powder

1 TSP Vanilla Extract

2 Dates

¼ Cup Plant Milk for blending

Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Put in a bowl and refrigerate for one hour. Then enjoy!

2. Cucumber & Salsa

As an avid chips and salsa lover, I have to sometimes give myself a break. I literally have zero self control when it comes to salsa and chips so I really have to consciously not buy chips to keep myself in check. One alternative that I’ve messed around with is chopping up cucumber in coins and using those as the vessel for my salsa. Obviously, it’s not as salty and satisfying as chips, but it’s such a great alternative to chips and so much healthier. But hey, if you can control yourself, or don’t want to control yourself, chips and salsa is also a great vegan snack! So screw it! ;)

3. Dates & Nuts

This one is way simple, but so perfect as a pre-gym snack. Take any type of date you like and stuff a nut inside of it. That’s it! You could use medjool dates or pitted dates, I like to use Brazil Nuts or Almonds. You could also stuff your date with any type of nut butter, but I like using nuts for an extra crunch.

4. Avocado Crackers

Use any vegan crackers you like and top with hummus, avocado, cucumber, or tomato. Be sure to add seasoning you enjoy as well. You can even put the crackers in the toaster oven for a little bit to toast them up and make this a warm yummy snack.

5. Banana Almond Butter Quesadilla

No silly quesadilla/tortilla hacks here, just a good old fashioned quesadilla with a sweet twist. Simply take a vegan tortilla and spread some almond butter on one side and top with banana coin slices, cook how you would any quesadilla and enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed my list of simple healthy vegan snacks. I try to keep most of these items on hand just in case I’m in need of a quick snack throughout the day. Let me know in the comments below which one you plan on trying. Have a vegan day!
